Another series I worked on background painting and animation at Mercury Filmworks years ago.
I really liked this show's story and style. Pretty disappointed it didn't go further than a season but some times its better that way I guess.

Weird Years is a Canadian family animated sitcom produced by Lenz Entertainment and Mercury Filmworks. Created by Jason Hopley and Jamie Shannon, the show aired on YTV between November 2006 and June 2007. 26 half-hour episodes of the show were produced.[1] The series follows the Dorkovitch family, who emigrate from the fictional Kryobia in Eastern Europe to Happy Valley, Labrador, Canada, as they adjust to life in the New World while trying to keep alive some of the eccentric traditions of their homeland.
Weird Years is an animated sitcom about plumber Donko Dorkovitch and his eccentric family, who come to North America from the fictional Kryobia in Eastern Europe. The show takes a lighthearted look at their adventures in the New World as seen through the eyes of the Dorkovitch family,[2] who live in the Labrador town of Happy Valley.
